Kicking your nicotine addiction is easier than calorie counting.
You are more likely to successfully give up nicotine than the extra calories. On average people successfully give up NICOTINE–the 3rd most addictive substance—cold turkey without help–5.5% of the time. And the success rate of people sticking with starvation (calorie-counting) dieting is even less at 4.6%. Wow!
Jonathan Bailor of THE CALORIE MYTH says, “Eating is a natural process… Telling someone to run with insufficient fuel in their tank is telling them to shrink into the background and to be less than their capable of and it’s not healthy on many, many levels.”
Since May 2013 I’ve been focusing on just eating foods that are nutrient dense, that don’t bother my gut and eliminating nutritionally weak foods such as wheat. I lost 13 pounds in 2 weeks and have kept it off. I feel great and am only getting healthier. And I’m so glad to be done with feeling like a loser every day that I counted my calories.
