Real Switch Challenge

If you knew your vitamins were made of rocks and petroleum, would you switch to one that’s real food? Check out this video and how you can be a part of solving the #1 health risk in the world.

But DON’T view this if you are satisfied with cheap vitamins made of coal tar that you get at the grocery store. And don’t click on this if you’re okay with the upset stomachs that follow. :)

When you’re ready to make the switch, just click here.

I’m getting up the nerve to perform this live at my local networking luncheon. What do you think?!

Give for Real as a Social Entrepreneur

Mannatech Give for Real Videos

Scripting inspired by Presidentials Deb Jones and JoEllen Hooper

The following is an example of effective language to use in your presentation to talk about social entrepreneurship.

When people ask me what I do: “We are a group of social entrepreneurs who have taken on the challenge of eliminating malnutrition in children.  We have partnered with a company that has the science, the patents, and the technology to provide a high quality food solution. Together with service providers around the world, we are delivering on that promise!

Have you heard of Tom’s shoes? You buy a pair and they give a pair to someone in need?  We’re using that same method of having a business model fund the solution.

When you purchase a month’s supply of our plant-based product, we nourish a child for a month. You do something good for your wellness, while doing good for others.  There’s also an opportunity where you can build a significant income. Want to help?”

Scheduling the appointment:
“Hi ____. This is _____.  How’s it going?  (FORM–Ask them about their family, occupation, recreation, and then comes your message:)  I would love to sit down with you to talk about a project we’re working on and show you how we are helping children with their nutritional needs. Do you have half an hour that we can get together to visit? What does your schedule look like this week? What day works best for you? Would Tuesday or Wednesday be better?” (Get the appointment.)

At the appointment:
“As you were coming here to meet me today, what did you think this meeting was going to be about? What were you hoping this meeting was going to be all about?” (Listen)

If they say, I figured this was about products (or making money, etc)…Say: “This is a whole lot bigger than that.” If they say, I hope this isn’t about selling… “I think you’re going to love what I share with you. This is about giving, about paying it forward, about championing the cause of helping malnourished children while helping yourself.

Let me share with you what I do. Are you aware of how many companies donate part of their profits to important causes, like donating to Haitian Relief or the Japanese Tsunami victims? This is called cause-driven or cause marketing. The company I work with is not cause-driven but is instead a social entrepreneurial organization. In the other words, Mannatech has identified a social problem that has not been solved–global malnutrition–and has come up with a solution to actually solve the problem through a business model that funds it instead of just asking for donations.

“What I’m looking for is…

  • People who want to make a difference
  • People who want to impact their community by enriching lives
  • People who want to be healthy and stay healthy
  • People who want to be business partners, who are coachable, and who want to champion the cause of malnourished children while building a significant income for themselves
  • And everything in between.
  • Now, I’d like to do is share with you 2 short videos about the problem of what really is going on around the world and the nutritional solution.”
Play “The Problem” video clip with Sam Caster (8 minutes)

The Road to Give for Real – The Problem from Giving Changes Everything on Vimeo.

“Now, let’s watch “The Solution” video. It’s not only for malnourished children but solutions for undernourished children and families right here in our country.”

Play “The Solution” video clip with Sam Caster (8 minutes)

The Road to Give for Real – The Solution from Giving Changes Everything on Vimeo.

What did you like about what you just saw?
What really stands out to you?

Sample the PhytoBurst “The children are getting this same technology except it is in powder form, but I want you to sample it in a chewable form.” (They get the idea of real food.)

“Doctors are Endorsing these Integrative Health Strategies too. For example, have you heard of Dr. Ben Carson? He’s a world-renown neurosurgeon that will tell you that food is not enough and Mannatech is a great solution.  Have you heard of Scripps Institute?  They are known for being at the forefront of medical innovation, clinical research and technology. Their director Dr. Mimi Guarneri says that Mannatech will transform healthcare.”

The ISKA (International Sports Karate Association) has never endorsed a product or a company. For the first time in its 25-year history, ISKA has chosen Mannatech as its official dietary supplement company to recommend to its elite athletes. ISKA is in 61 countries and 28,000 studios here in North America. Why would they put their ISKA seal on our bottles? Mannatech has the science, validation, efficacy, safety and no banned substances. ISKA found the perfect company to align itself with. That lets you know there is something very unique about the products and technologies that we have.”

I mentioned earlier that what I’m looking for is people who want to impact their community and who want to be healthy and stay healthy.  Would you like to know how you can make an impact?  Great.  If helping malnourished children is a vision that you can believe in, I’d like to show you 3 options of how you can get involved.

Option 1 is to support 1 child. When you purchase products on auto order you help your health and Mannatech sends a month supply to a child in need. Option 2 is to invite others to this vision.  You’ll receive a $100 check from Mannatech each month when you and those 6 people have ordered and you’ll be helping 7 children too. With each person you refer beyond that, your giving grows in direct proportion. Option 3 is to become a social entrepreneur as Team Builder. This is a person who enjoys the product as a consumer and would like to create some significant income by working either part-time or full-time. This person helps the world and helps themselves. This is an effective way to fund wellness for your family and for children in need with a business model that sustains the giving.”

“Do you see any part of this being a fit for you?
    Tell me more.” (Listen)

Read the Closing Script page 22 of Dani Johnson’s Script Book.

Before we select your pack, let me show you what I take everyday.  I take one of these convenient packets in the morning and one in the evening. (Show Optimal Health Support packets) It has in it PhytoMatrix – this is the same technology that is in the PhytoBurst Nutritional Chews, PLUS is for endocrine support, and Ambrotose AO is our powerful antioxidant. I also take Ambrotose every day.”
Which route would you like to go? (Show or tell them about the packs)

The top goal is to help them make a list of names and share this with people they know. You want to send them home with something (i.e. Real 4 for Life brochure, The Atlanta Voice) and get back with them within 24-48 hours to get back what you loaned to them and help them with their list of names.

Thank you for helping us provide nutrition and not just food to kids in need. We look forward to hearing about your results and appreciate your referrals so that we can help even more kids.

Orphan blessings

Just sharing some good news today.  Below is a portion of an email we received from Pastor Belinda Palisoc at Cindy’s House in the Philippines regarding our last shipment of Mannatech products for the children.

“The boxes arrived this afternoon.  What a blessing…   The vitamins are a Godsend we will monitor these ourselves giving them to the children… Thank you so much, I can tell there is much love that went into these boxes.  I had goosebumps as I opened them.”

Skipping Thanksgiving

By Demra Robbins

How do you feel when you see Christmas lights up all over town and it’s not even December?!

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Christmas too, my daughter has already made her list and I cannot wait to get started on my list this year shopping or making things for others!  But, I cannot help but wonder why our culture seems to skip over Thanksgiving completely. It is a time to stop and break bread with your family. Where you sit and visit with relatives you haven’t seen in a while without your blackberry or email being the medium.

It seems these days we are encouraged to skip Thanksgiving just so we can get a head start on the “consumerism” part of our Christmas holiday. Well that’s what it feels like with all the Christmas toy commercials in November, the Christmas trees up at the stores and the main streets are decorated with wreaths already.

My intent is not to offend anyone if you love that they are already playing Christmas music on the radio but I need more time to just be thankful!  So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving and Christmas combined here is a simple tip you can do to help your family be grateful this Thanksgiving and Christmas season.

Samaritan Purse's Operation Christmas Child

One way we keep our family focused on giving each year through our church, MOPS and this year we also make them in our Girl Scouts troop is to make an Operation Christmas Child box through the non-profit Samaritan’s Purse. It’s a perfect way to get your kids involved and giving to someone else. Your family will have a ball stuffing the boxes to the brim!  In a previous year my husband Ryan drove 350 boxes from our church in Grapevine, TX to Arkansas for this effort. My SUV was packed thanks to so many generous people like you!

Here’s how it works:

  • Visit Samaritan’s Purse to print your label and see donation item suggestions.
  • We suggest choosing a child your kids’ ages
  • Go to a dollar store and fill up on socks, toothbrushes, coloring books, vitamins and small toys.
  • Then pack them into a box for a child in need. We also go through our birthday favor bags our kids have received to find small toys to include
  • Include a photo or hand drawn picture from our children with a note from them so the kids know who sent them their box.

This is an activity that you can do this week, but if you’d rather have more time, just keep your ears open in your community for similar ways to give.  Samaritan’s Purse is only collecting the boxes this week through November 22. See the website for drop off locations.

There is a $7 fee for postage but for  about $15 you can give a child a Christmas they will never forget and show them the love of other people.

Happy giving this Thanksgiving and Christmas season!

Age-Defying Ladies

While on a trip to Chicago recently we got to talking with Dr. Vicky Arcadi and Jackie Baird on a bus ride.  They were willing to share their unique story even on a bumpy trip.  If you’re okay with lots of movement, then watch this fun clip about these age-defying ladies.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOgUb0XpGyQ]

These amazing ladies help so many pregnant moms and young babies with their wellness.  Now, they are thankful to step it up huge notch with Give for Real. Thanks for sharing, ladies.  You rock!

Nutrition with Purpose

We’re floored.  We’ve been thrilled to be aligned with a company with purpose for over a decade.  Much of the independent distributors of our nutritional supplement company have at some point given away product for free.  The associates believe in what these high quality foods can do and are willing to give to others in need.

We have discussed Mannatech’s sister charity MannaRelief recently.  They deliver food supplements to orphans around the globe.  As with all charities, their donations have suffered in the last couple of years.Kids in need

In answer to this problem, Mannatech has launched an initiative that all consumers can be a part of.  And it doesn’t even require additional giving.  Everytime you order one or more of the core products on an auto order (where it comes every 28 days), you get an additional 10% off and MANNATECH will give up to a 30 day supply to an orphan in need around the globe.  Watch The Road to Give for Real video.

That means that being proactive with your health and your family’s health now equates to doing GOOD!  Over 19 million servings have already been donated as of last Saturday!  Watch the ticker here.

So, if you’re already a Mannatech associate or have a member account number, you’re set to go.  Simply make sure that your auto order includes one or all of these:  Ambrotose powder, Optimal Support packets, MannaBears, PhytoMatrix or PhytoBurst.

If you would like help with getting your real food supplements so that you can help children in need, please contact your Mannatech representative TODAY.  They would be happy to help you help others!

If you don’t know a Mannatech representative, please leave a comment with your email and one of our dedicated teammates will contact you.

Let’s make a difference!
