Many whey protein supplements, including the our favorite, have a label that suggests you mix it in water.
I don’t know who writes those labels, but obviously they haven’t tried whey protein in water alone or they wouldn’t recommend that. Of course some people do it but those are the same people who must not have any tastebuds.
So, do you get tripped up on not knowing what to mix it with? Lots of people do. I’ve been using a high quality whey protein peptide technology food blend for the last year and half, so I’ve tried a lot of things. Below are some tips and recipes.
Just so you know, I’m milk sensitive, so that’s why you see a lot of milk alternatives. If you prefer cow milk and cow yogurt, go for it. But just know that if you increase your consumption you may develop a sensitivity. There’s a lot of controversy anyway about cow milk. I’m not going there. All I know is that my body works best when choose an alternative like almond drinks, goat milk, goat yogurt, or rice beverage.
We’ll start with the basics and then get fancier…
Breakfast OR Lunch:
8 oz almond drink or water
1 scoop of a meal replacement drink mix (We like GlycoSlim the best!)
2 scoops of OsoLean whey protein
20 minutes before dinner (or as a late night snack to stave off munchies):
2 oz milk alternative or water
2 scoops OsoLean whey protein
1 teaspoon of GlycoSlim drink mix or 1 teaspoon of Nesquik.
Optional: blend with frozen fruit

(All ingredients are approximate since I don’t measure anything. I just put it all in the Magic Bullet and voila! It’s either breakfast if I use a full scoop of GlycoSlim meal replacement or a nighttime healthy munchy if I use just 1/4 scoop or a teaspoon of Nesquik.)
PEANUT BUTTER/BANANA OSOLEAN RECIPE
2 scoops (or one packet) OsoLean whey protein powder
1 cup Water
1/2 cup crushed ice
2 T peanut butter
1/2 banana
1/4 scoop of vanilla GlycoSlim meal replacement (or 1 tiny drop of vanilla extract)
2 scoops of Advanced Ambrotose
MARLA’S FRUIT SMOOTHIE RECIPE
2 scoops (or one packet) OsoLean whey protein powder
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup white grape juice
1/2 cup crushed ice
3 big frozen or fresh strawberries
1/4 scoop of vanilla GlycoSlim meal replacement (or 1 tiny drop of vanilla extract)
2 scoops of Advanced Ambrotose (always a must in our house but optional in others)
CHOCOLATE/BANANA OSOLEAN RECIPE
2 scoops (or one packet) OsoLean powder
1 cup Water or milk alternative
1/2 cup crushed ice
1/2 banana
1 scoop of chocolate GlycoSlim meal replacement (or 1 t chocolate Nesquik if I’ve already had a meal replacement that day)
2 scoops of Advanced Ambrotose
Yum! I’ve lost 4 pant sizes and I’m feeling great!
